Concurrent Sessions
There will be 5 opportunities for concurrent sessions at the 2009 Urban Extension Conference. Concurrent sessions will be held:
Tuesday, May 5 2:45 - 3:45pm Tuesday, May 5 4:00 - 5:00pm Wednesday, May 6 9:45 - 10:45am Wednesday, May 6 12:30 - 1:30pm Thursday, May 7 7:45 - 8:45am
AV Equipment and Requirements
All presentation rooms will be equipped with a computer, Internet connection, LCD projector, screen, podium and microphone. You will not be able to use your personal laptop during your presentation. The conference is providing the service of a Ready Room for all speakers, where technical support staff will be on hand to upload your presentation onto a central server where it will be ready and waiting for you at the time of your presentation.
All presenters are asked to provide their electronic presentation files (such as PowerPoint) on a CD or a USB flash drive and bring this drive to the Ready Room. Presenters must check-in at the Ready Room at least two hours before their session begins. We highly recommend that you check-in the day before if possible. The Ready Room will be open for the duration of the conference with hours posted.
If you require anything different from what is being provided in each meeting room or you have a presentation that requires a higher level of technical support, please be sure to include this information in your online proposal form.
Print Material
You are responsible for creating and duplicating your own print materials. Following the conference, all the presentations will be posted on the conference website for downloading.
Evaluations
If you would like to evaluate your workshop, you will need to bring your own evaluation materials. The conference evaluation will not evaluate individual concurrent sessions.
Poster Sessions
The Poster Session will be held concurrently with lunch on Wednesday, May 6 in the the Atrium from 11am - 12:30pm. Lunch will be informal and allow time for participants to interact with poster session presenters. Abstracts of the poster session will be provided in the conference program book.
Tables Provided
Skirted tables (6' x 30") will be provided for your poster display. No electricity is available. You are responsible for bringing your own display board.
You may provide handouts to enhance your poster session. We recommend handouts for about 200 people. If you run out, you can request that people leave a business card for you to mail materials after the conference.
Conference Registration
All poster session presenters are required to register for the conference.
Registration information is available from the conference website
under Registration.
